GETTING HERE

 

When you visit Kaikoura make sure you stop at the Pier Hotel, Kaikoura. You'll find affordable Bed and Breakfast accommodation, hearty meals at the acclaimed in-house restaurant (local seafood a speciality) and can enjoy drinks in the comfortable seaside bar.

To get to The Pier, turn off the main highway (Beach Rd) into West End, then continue on along (the street name changes to Esplanade past the main shopping area) about 2.5 km to Avoca St. The hotel is on the corner, directly across from the beach.

There's plenty of parking, a kids play area outside and picnic tables on the lawn over the road where you can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the spectacular views.
